UCL class certification case set for oral argument: Noel v. Thrifty Payless

The Supreme Court has posted its early May argument calendar. The case of Noel v. Thrifty Payless, no. S246490, will be heard on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. in San Francisco.  As I reported earlier this month, in Noel, the Supreme Court will consider the ascertainability element of class certification in the specific context of retail sales to consumers.

This should be an interesting argument, and I will try to attend and report on it here if my work schedule permits.
